Below are some frequently asked questions regarding Kindergarten for the 2008 - 2009 School Year.
*What do I need to do to register my student?
A kindergarten registration booklet was mailed out to all familes we were able to make contact with in early February. If you have not received the booklet and your student will be coming to Lakeview, please call the office at 436-1149 and we will get the forms to you. Please note that we are closed to students who wish to permit in from out of our attendance area.
You will need to turn in the following forms to register:
*Is Transportation available for my student next year?
Transportation is available for some students. Please call the office at 436-1149 and we will be more than happy to look up your students address to see if it is available.
*Will their be a Kindergarten Jump Start in the fall?
Yes. Lakeview will be having a Jump Start August 4th thru August 8th from 9:00 to 11:30 am. Registration forms were handed out during our Round Up but they can also be found at the link below, forms must be turned into the Lakeview Office. Summer Jump Starts are an excellent opportunity for students to get acquainted with all three kindergarten teachers, the building, the procedures and help them feel at home the first day they come to school.
*Is there a Before and After School Program at Lakeview?
Yes. Students can be dropped of at the CLC Program at 6:30 am and must be picked up by 6:00 pm. The staff will supervise students and then bring them in for breakfast if need at 8:30. After school students will be dropped off at the CLC area where they will have a snack then be divided into groups for enrichment activities.
Registration forms for the program will be sent home (to registered students) in the packets we mail out in late July/early August.
*Does my child need any supplies to start the year?
We will provide all the supplies your student needs but they should have a back pack to bring things home in. It is extremly helpful to write their name in it.
You will receive a welcome letter from your students teacher during the summer with a list of things you can donate to the room, such as kleenex's or sanitizing wipes.
